Recopilación historical resolutoria de Sancta Marta y nuevo Reyno de Granada en las Yndias : Primera Parte : Nueva Granada, [ca. 1568?].

A copy of the opening portion of the history written by Aguado, first Franciscan Provincial of Santa Fé de Bogotá and a participant in Jiménez de Quesada's entry into Nueva Granada. It covers Spanish exploration, conquest, and colonization of that region from the establishment of Santa Marta at the beginning of the 16th century to 1568, including descriptions of local geography, native life, flora, fauna, and other features. Part I of Aguado's history was first printed in Bogotá in 1906, as Vol. 5 of the "Biblioteca de Historia Nacional;" Part II was published in Caracas, 1913-1915, by the Venezuelan Academia Nacional de la Historia.
